Titre : "Antisolvent Crystallization of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients: Controlling particle Size, Polymorphism, Non-Classical Crystallization Pathways, Cocrystallization"
Résumé:
This seminar will mainly focus on research findings from our work for last few years on antisolvent crystallization of different active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) such as griseofulvin, curcumin, carbamazepine and fenofibrate. Effect of ultrasound and additives on nucleation kinetics, particle size control, stability of aqueous suspensions, particle growth, polymorphism and crystallization pathways of APIs will be covered. Research findings related to cocrystallization of curcumin for solubility enhancement and the use of in-situ Raman spectroscopy and molecular modelling to gain insight to the polymorphic behaviour of curcumin during antisolvent crystallization will also be discussed.
